ADVENTURE OF SURVIVAL
Adventure of Survival is BUAC’s campus-wide survival-inspired competition, bringing the excitement, suspense, and strategy of iconic elimination games to a safe university setting.
Organized to celebrate BRAC University’s 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee, the event also stands as Bangladesh’s first university-based competition of its kind and one of the largest university-organized and Squid Game-inspired gaming events. It will also be the first-ever BRAC University event held on the Rooftop Green Arena.
Round 1: Dalgona Challenge
[9:00 AM - 9:30 AM]
- The competition will begin with 300 participants.
- Each participant must successfully complete the assigned Dalgona shape on paper within the allotted time determined by the organizing committee.
- Tearing or damaging the assigned shape before successful completion will result in elimination.
- Participants who successfully complete the challenge within 7 minutes will qualify for the next round.
Round 2: Alliance Formation
[9:30 AM - 10:30 AM]
- Boundaries will be given at different corners of the hall. A number will be announced; participants have to form an alliance within the boundary with the announced number of people.
- Alliance Formation round will continue until only 165 participants remain.
Round 3: Leg-Tied Race
[11:00 AM - 1:00 PM]
- Participants will be randomly grouped by the organizing committee.
- Teams will be formed through a random combination process.
- Every team will participate in the Leg-Tied Race.
- The competition will begin with the last 165 participants.
- A group of 5 people will be made through a random process.
- Each participant will be attached with one leg to the others.
- They will be divided into 33 groups and 11 segments, with 15 participants in each segment.
- All 15 participants in each segment will start the race together.
- Participants must follow the designated route and complete the assigned challenges.
- Participants will be eliminated based on their finishing position/performance.
- 10 participants from each segment will qualify for the next round.
- Throughout this round, participants will also encounter several small obstacle games integrated into the course.
- They have to walk with synchronization and face 3 obstacles in the game.
- Ddakji: Paper Flipping.
- Flying Stone: Throw a stone at a target.
- Juggling Ball: Juggling a cricket ball.
- Teams that successfully complete all assigned challenges within the allotted time will advance to the next round.
Round 4: Survival Steps
[2:00 PM - 2:30 PM]
- Every participant will be assigned a number through a lottery in a random manner.
- The order of participants will be according to the order of the numbers.
- If a participant chooses the number 1 in the lottery, they will be the first in the order.
- Participants who successfully complete the challenge according to the event rules will qualify for the next round.
Round 5: Circle of Survival
[2:45 PM - 3:15 PM]
- The Circle of Survival round will continue until only Forty (40) participants remain.
- The last forty remaining participants will qualify for the Run to Survive.
- Participants are strictly prohibited from pushing, pulling, blocking, or intentionally making physical contact with another participant.
- Any participant found intentionally pushing or interfering with another player will be immediately disqualified, regardless of their standing in the game.
Round 6: Run to Survive
[3:30 PM - 4:00 PM]
- The competition will begin with the last 40 participants.
- They will be divided into 4 segments, with 10 participants in each segment.
- All 10 participants in each segment will start the race together.
- Participants must follow the designated route and complete the assigned challenge.
- Participants will be eliminated based on their finishing position/performance.
- Only 1 participant from each segment will qualify for the Final Round.
- The 4 segment winners will compete against each other in the Final Round.
Final Round: Russian Roulette
[4:00 PM - 4:30 PM]
- The Final Round will consist of Four (4) finalists.
- The competition will use a safe prop game designed solely for entertainment purposes.
- No real weapons or dangerous equipment will be used during the event.
- Before the challenge begins, a lottery draw will determine the participant pairings.
- Pairings will be formed as follows:
- Participant 1 & Participant 1
- Participant 2 & Participant 2
- Each pair will compete directly against one another.
- A Rock Paper Scissors game will determine which participant takes the first turn in the challenge.
Finalists face a suspense-filled elimination challenge where they take turns making choices from a set of concealed options. Some choices allow players to remain in the game, while others result in elimination. The process continues until only one participant remains and is declared the winner.
