AWS Community Day Bangladesh is the nation's premier, community-led cloud conference, built for the community, by the community. It’s a vibrant gathering of students, developers, architects, engineers, and tech leaders who are passionate about Amazon Web Services and cloud computing.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration for and participation in the AWS Community Day Bangladesh event ("Event"). By registering for or attending the Event, you agree to these Terms.

 

1. Event Administration

1.1 Community-Led Event. AWS Community Day Bangladesh is a community-led event. It is organized by volunteer AWS User Group Leaders ("Community Organizers") and is not organized or administered by Amazon Web Services, Inc. or its affiliates ("AWS").

1.2 Registration. You must complete the event registration process to attend. The Community Organizers reserve the right to refuse admission or terminate your participation for any reason at their sole discretion.

1.3 Event Changes. The Event content, speakers, schedule, and venue are subject to change or cancellation without notice.

 

2. Code of Conduct

2.1 Expected Behavior. All participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and productive environment for everyone.

- Be respectful and considerate of others.

- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, speech, and imagery.

- Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants.

2.2 Unacceptable Behavior. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.

- Harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or physical appearance.

- Inappropriate use of nudity, sexual images, or imagery in public spaces or presentations.

- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.

- Harassing photography or recording.

- Sustained disruption of talks or other events.

- Inappropriate physical contact.

- Unwelcome sexual attention.

2.3 Consequences. Participants requested to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. The Community Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a formal warning or expulsion from the Event without a refund.

2.4 Reporting. If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please alert a member of the event organizing team immediately.

 

3. Privacy

3.1 Data Collection. By registering for the Event, you agree that the Community Organizers may collect and process the personal data you provide for the purpose of managing your attendance, sending event-related communications, and analyzing event trends.

3.2 Third Parties. Your personal data may be shared with necessary third-party service providers (e.g., platform hosts, venue security) strictly for Event administration purposes.

3.3 Photography & Recording. Please be aware that photographs and video may be taken at the Event for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to your image being used in post-event materials, such as websites, social media, and future event promotions.

 

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Rights Reserved. All rights in and to the Event content, including presentations, materials, and recordings, are owned by the Community Organizers, speakers, or their licensors.

4.2 No Commercial Use. You may not record, reproduce, copy, or distribute any Event content for commercial purposes without the express prior written permission of the Community Organizers and the respective rights holder.

4.3 Attendee Content. You retain all rights in any content you create and share at the Event (e.g., social media posts). However, by submitting content for inclusion in the Event (e.g., in a showcase), you grant the Community Organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with the Event.

 

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 Voluntary Participation. Your attendance and participation in the Event is voluntary.

5.2 No Warranties. The Event and all content are provided on an "as-is" basis. The Community Organizers disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

5.3 Liability Cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Community Organizers and their volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Event;

- The conduct or content of other attendees or third parties at the Event; or

- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content or information.

5.4 Personal Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your personal belongings, well-being, and actions during the Event.

 

6. Cancellation

The Community Organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Event, or change the venue, at their discretion. In the event of a cancellation, the Community Organizers' liability is limited to the refund of the registration fee (if any was paid). The Community Organizers are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other related costs you may incur.

 

7. General

7.1 Governing Law. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

7.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

7.3 Updates. The Community Organizers reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on the official Event website.
