Read Together and Draw!
is a heartwarming Mother's Day workshop designed to bring families closer through the shared joy of storytelling and art. This session invites both parents and children to participate in reading, listening, and drawing—turning quality time into meaningful connection.
We begin with a group reading of the Rustom Palowan comics, brought to life with animations and audio-visuals playing in the background. Parents and children take turns reading aloud, fostering language development, emotional expression, mutual attention, narrative understanding in children. These shared reading experiences is a powerful tool for strengthening parent-child bonds while enhancing early cognitive skills such as memory, sequencing, and social-emotional learning.
After the story, the workshop flows into a collaborative drawing session where they reflect on the themes or scenes from the reading. This collaborative art-making invites children to express themselves visually while parents join them in creating and connecting. The drawing activity supports fine motor development, imagination, and visual storytelling, while also promoting teamwork and open conversation.
